New to Midway? No worries. We're so glad you decided to check us out. Many first-time visitors have questions so we hope we can answer some below. If you have other questions, find a friendly face at church and ask.
What is Midway like?
We are like a family...really! We all have our differences but we love just the same. We welcome anyone and everyone that wants to come and would love to get to know you better.
Sunday mornings, our service begins with songs (blended old and new), followed by communion each week, and ending with an uplifting sermon to get you through the week. Sing loud, raise your hand, say amen...we don't care. Your worship is between you and God.
Anytime we can help, we do. We love getting to know the people in our community through various activities at the church, community events, and participating in our local schools.
What about my kids?
The kids are our focus because the kids are our future. We provide a nursey for ages 0-2, and "little church" classes for ages 3 through 5th grade.
Sunday nights we go all out for our school age (K-College) kids with our Gravity and Rise group (5:30-7:30 pm). Food, games, and a great worship time.
During the year, we have an awesome Vacation Bible School, cool summer camps, fun small group outings, and spiritually uplifting youth retreats. It's also a great opportunity for both kids and parents to meet new friends.
Where do I park?
We have parking on both sides of the church building and handicap places if needed. Our main building is in front and our activities building with gym and youth rooms are in the back.
What do I wear?
Whatever you would like.
How can I get connected?
We have a place for everyone. Send us an email, find a friendly face in church, or talk to one of our church leaders. We'll find a place for you.
We have a ladies ministry, a mature single women's group, men's breakfast, and our motorcycle guys who like to take a morning ride.
We provide meals to the Christian Campus group at UGA, we have a fellowship meal once a month, and we work at the Barrow County food bank.
As the scripture says, "we all have spiritual gifts". We would love to help you find your place at Midway.
