What We Believe

We believe in the one God - The Father, Son and Holy Spirit

  • God the Father who is Creator of all things

  • God the Son who was born of the virgin Mary, and in human nature, lived a sinless life here on the earth.  He suffered and died as an atonement for our sin.  He rose from the grave on the third day.  He ascended to Heaven to reside at the right hand of God.  He will return again in victory and take His people with Him.

  • God the Holy Spirit dwells in every Christian who accepts Him.  He strengthens us in our weakness and intercedes for us in prayer.  He convicts of us our sin but empowers us to live a holy life.

We believe in the Bible

  • It is the inspired Word of God.

  • It is true.

  • It is the final authority for all matters of faith, truth, morality and Christian living.

We believe in Salvation.

  • The only perfect One was Jesus Christ our Savior.  We all sin and fall short of God's glory.

  • Forgiveness of sin is only given by grace through the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross.

  • Salvation comes through putting your faith in Jesus Christ, repenting of your sin, confessing Him as your Savior, and being baptized by immersion which follows the example of Jesus.

  • Salvation is for ALL so it is our jobs as Christians to encourage fellow Christians in and GO into the world to tell others about our great Savior.

We believe in the Church.

  • Founded on the day of Pentecost, the church is not a building we worship in but a body of believers who choose to serve God.

  • As a church, we are to:

    • Meet together for fellowship, worship, teaching and communion.

    • Use the spiritual gifts we have been given to serve others.

    • Seek unity with one another.

    • Encourage and build one another up.

    • Bear one another burdens and pray for each other.

    • Support the church financially.

    • Pursue holiness and obedience to God's word.

    • Strive to fulfill the Great Commission.

We believe in the greatest commandment that Jesus gave us...to LOVE one another because Jesus Christ loved us.  He loved us enough to die on the cross for our sins so that we have the hope of salvation.  If we LOVE God and LOVE each other, everything else just falls into place.
